Hello all. We are excited to announce that we have a tentative ship date of August 30.
As we near completion of the final-fit process, we'd like to share some additional information about it. Over the last several rounds of revisions, we've been measuring and revising over tolerance ranges that are within the thickness of a single sheet of paper. Each tooling revision is a multi-step process: First, our manufacturer has to make a tooling revision to the part and sample parts are run off. From there, the parts are put through secondary finishing operations. Next, the parts are shipped for paint. Then to our assembly facility for assembly and examination. And then, finally, to us for use testing and final review.
This is the process we've been running through over multiple rounds, for multiple parts. We believe we are very near completion and we couldn't be more excited to get xChain into your hands. Please have a look at the latest:

To get right to it: today we completed our assembly and analysis of the latest round of mold revisions. On the one hand, we are excited to say that xChain today is the best version there has been of xChain. We are happy with where the product currently stands. On the other hand, we have identified room for further improvement with one more round of mold revisions. Our manufacturer is working with us to fast track this round, and we expect it to push us out an additional two to three weeks from today before we can run off our full production run of parts. From there, we have paint, assembly and ship on standby, ready to go.
Please know that we do not take lightly the decision to undergo an additional round of mold revisions in pursuit of further discretionary improvement. It comes at significant cost to us, requires substantial additional engineering effort, and we have many exciting opportunities on hold. Ultimately, however, we are confident that trading weeks for a better product is in everyone's interest.
Hello All. To begin, please have a look at our first fully assembled production unit!
In this update, we'd like to share some details about our production process from here to ship-ready. For some context, the manufacture of xChain involves a very high level of precision that requires an incremental fit process which cannot be reduced once made tighter. So we have to cautiously proceed with dialing in the fit.
We are currently at the very near-end of our latest round of revisions, and we are optimistic that the latest round will be the last round. We expect to be able to assess the latest round of fittings within a week or two. Once we are able to confirm the fit, we will then be able to provide a ship date.
In the interim, our prototype samples have been receiving more than outstanding feedback from those who we've been putting through workouts. We are very much appreciative of all who backed xChain, and most excited to get everyone their xChain soon.
